Sarinah Mustafa is the Founding and Senior Partner of the Firm and is widely recognized for her expertise in litigation. She pursued her legal education by obtaining an LLB (Hons.) from the University of London, United Kingdom, graduating with honors. She subsequently completed her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in Malaysia and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Sarinah Mustafa is also a Syariah lawyer, having further developed her expertise in Islamic law through the Diploma in Syariah Practice at the International Islamic University Malaysia, enabling her to practice in the Syariah Courts.
Sarinah Mustafa is an experienced and dedicated trial lawyer whose practice focuses primarily on criminal defense and general litigation. Throughout her career, she has worked with high-performing legal teams and participated in numerous high-profile cases representing both individual and corporate clients. Her work includes cases involving the Prevention of Crimes Act (POCA), Dangerous Drugs Act (LLPK), white-collar crimes, and various offenses under the Penal Code. She has also assisted the Socialist Party of Malaysia (PSM) by representing clients charged under the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958.
She has represented clients in a wide range of criminal matters across all levels of the Malaysian courts, defending individuals prosecuted by authorities such as the Royal Malaysia Police, the Immigration Department, and the Labour Department. Sarinah represents suspects during the investigation stage as well as defendants in trials, bail applications, pleas in mitigation, appeals, and other ancillary criminal applications. One of her notable achievements includes successfully defending and securing the acquittal of 11 accused persons under POCA, which was reported in the newspaper Tamil Malar in 2021.
Sarinah Mustafa has also contributed to public legal awareness. She was interviewed by Shalini Priyah Mogan, where she shared her views on Sexual Assault and Harassment in the YouTube discussion titled “How do you know if someone is sexually harassing you?”
In civil matters, Sarinah Mustafa has acted as lead counsel in complex cases, including defamation claims, insurance runner cases, and fatal accident claims, achieving successful outcomes for her clients. She was also invited as a special guest on FM Minnal, where she provided insights and legal guidance on road accident-related matters.
Beyond criminal litigation, Sarinah Mustafa has expanded her expertise into Civil Litigation, Matrimonial and Family Law. She has handled a wide range of matters including adoption, child custody disputes, divorce proceedings (both joint petitions and contested matters), spousal maintenance, dispute resolution, personal injury claims, property division, private probate, and wills.

Partner of the Firm
Ambiga Pandian is the Partner of the Law Firm. She started her educational journey in the area of Facilitative Medicine and completed her degree in BSc. (Hons.) Biomedicine at Management & Science University (MSU) in Shah Alam, Malaysia, graduating with a First Class Honors Degree. She then developed a passion for law and pursued her law degree, LLB (Hons.), at the University of London, U.K., graduating with Honors. She further pursued her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in Malaysia. Ambiga Pandian also serves as an Accredited & Certified Mediator on the Panel of the Bar Council and the Malaysian International Mediation Centre (MIMC).

Ambiga Pandian read in the chambers of Messrs. Anad & Noraini and was admitted to the Rolls as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020. At Messrs. Anad & Noraini, she gained valuable knowledge in Civil Litigation, primarily in Medical Negligence, under the guidance of the experienced Ms. Navamalar. Subsequently, Ambiga Pandian was retained as a Legal Assistant at Messrs. Anad & Noraini.
The following year, she established a Sole Proprietor firm, the Chambers of Ambiga Pandian. With the aim of advancing and expanding in the legal arena, she merged and successfully formed a Partnership Law Firm known as Sarinah Mustafa, Ambiga Pandian & Associates on 5th December 2022.
Ambiga Pandian has garnered valuable experience principally in Civil and Criminal Litigation, including but not limited to Medical Negligence, Commercial and Contractual Disputes, Defamation, Debt Recovery, Family/Matrimonial Proceedings, Insurance Runner matters & Fatal Claims, Winding-up Proceedings, Bankruptcy Proceedings, Contested and Non-Contested Letters of Administration, Grant of Probate, Will Drafting, and other General Litigation matters.
